Robert Kennedy Publishing Launches Corporate Web site!

January 29, 2009

It is with great pleasure that the Online & Interactive Department at Robert Kennedy Publishing (RKP) announces the launch of the corporate company Web site today, at rkpubs.com.

The site features information about all the brands, including executive team bios, company history and other corporate information. Company press releases will be found here and posted regularly.

"For a long time, the face of RKP has not had an online presence in the form of a corporate website . . . until now!" says Online & Interactive Producer Leigh Hargrove. "This website really is a celebration of what this company is about, our accomplishments and what we're moving toward. We're saying, 'Hey world, we're here, look at us!'"

Christopher Barnes, RKP's Senior Web Designer, was at the helm of this project, working from the ground up to bring the site to life. "We are really proud of the success we've had at RKP and we're excited to share that with our readers, clients and consumers. Launching this site is really just the beginning. We have a lot of exciting things happening this year and we're proud to be part of it all."

RKP's off-site development team, The Capris Group, has played an integral part in assisting the team with the launch of the project. “As RKP's web development and managed hosting services partner, The Capris Group has participated in a number of RKP Internet-related initiatives in the past few years. However, these initiatives are just the tip of the iceberg!" says Project Manager Mashaal Memon. "For 2009 and beyond, the readers can expect fresh new looks for RKP's digital properties, streamlined navigation, the ability to interact with RKP staff and other readers, more digital media in the form of photos and streaming videos, a better online shopping experience and best of all, fresh content more often. The Capris Group is excited to be part of all that is new at RKP and looks forward to working with RKP to bring even more value to their online presence."

Online Production Assistant Erin Morris joined the team last spring and is excited about what's in store for the company. "We're working on some great projects that will only enhance our readers' enjoyment of our brands as they experience them online."

It really is an exciting time for the company. On February 2, RKP will be moving into a brand new office space that will encompass the needs of the expanding team. In the fall, Circulation Management magazine listed RKP as #32 in the Top 50 Audited Newsstand Publishers by Retail ($) Sales. The team has been rapidly expanding and has recently brought on Group Creative Director Caren Watkins to work on the Oxygen and Clean Eating brands.

The Book Publishing Department has also seen some recent success. Tosca Reno's The Eat-Clean Diet series has earned itself a place on Amazon.com's Top 10 Bestselling Diet Books list. As a result, plans are already in the works to relaunch a newly designed Web site for the eatcleandiet.com. Hargrove is excited about the new site. "Due to the success of the Eat-Clean Diet series we really want to provide an online arena in which our readers can share their knowledge, inspire each other and support each other through the multiple tools and resources that will be found on the new site." The relaunch is scheduled around the same time that Reno will be starring in her own TV show, set to air this spring.
